Science Education
Aims of the Subject :
- To cultivate curiosity and interest in science.
- To develop the ability to inquire about the natural world and solve problems.
- To acquire basic scientific knowledge, science process skills, and the ability to integrate and apply this understanding across disciplines.
- To gain a preliminary understanding of the nature of science.
- To use basic scientific language to communicate ideas effectively.
- To develop evidence-based reasoning skills and the ability to form logical conclusions.
- To develop foundational engineering thinking and practical skills.
- To recognise the social, ethical, environmental and technological implications of science, and develop a sense of responsible citizenship and a commitment to personal and community health.
- To cultivate self-directed learning capabilities and become lifelong learners of science for personal development.
- To prepare students for advanced science learning at the secondary level and potential future careers in scientific fields.
